Congratulations Carlos Solorzano!

Carlos is an 8th grader at WGMS selected to perform as a bass player for the California Junior High All-STATE Jazz Band!!!

Over 1,700 California musicians submitted audition CDs, and he was one of the few students chosen. Students that are selected for the All-State Honor Bands get to perform with other best-of-the-best students in the state in their grade level (7th or 8th graders). He is traveling to Fresno, February 19-21, for the state music educator’s convention (CASMEC) and will perform with this band under a well-respected college jazz band professor. Carlos, enjoy this extraordinary opportunity that you so well deserve!
