WGHS Fall Play – 12 Angry Jurors

Willow Glen High School will have a fall play!!!

Many thanks to Mr. Dini and Mrs. Hamilton for all their efforts to make it happen.

Here are the details:

12 Angry Jurors

Based on the Oscar nominated film of 12 Angry Men is a story of a jury of a homicide trial and how they deliberate the guilt or acquittal of a defendant on the basis of reasonable doubt. It was broadcast initially as a television play in 1954. The following year it was adapted for the stage, and in 1957 was made into a highly successful film.

Auditions will be in October (date TBA) and the shows will go up the week of December 10th with a plan to do 4 performances (12 women, 12 men and/or 1 “mixed cast”).

The perfect venue is the Mickey Long Center. It’s a perfect space, with a small kitchen, a lobby, a green room for the actors and even tables and chairs that would work for a jury room. No set is needed because the doors are in just the right place and there are windows and even a clock (which the script calls for).

All rehearsals and performances will be held in this room. It can seat about 100. This will add to the intimate setting that is needed for this show.

There will be an info meeting in the café on Friday – September 21 from 3:15-4:15 pm
