Meet Scott Patterson — Drama teacher at WGHS

Scott Patterson, an English teacher at WGHS, is now also teaching drama, running the drama club, and directing the after school fall play. Here are some of Scott’s career highlights:
- Drama teacher at WGHS for three years, 97-2000
- 7 plays directed at WGHS, two of which were West Coast premieres
- Member of Actor’s Equity (the stage actor’s union) since 1987
- Performed in Bay Area with San Jose Stage Company, Theater Works, Marin Theater Company, San Jose Rep., among others, with additional prior professional performances in Florida, Virginia and Kentucky
- Also employed as Technical Director for several shows at San Jose Stage Co.
- Performed in comedy, tragedy, modern and classical (Molier, Shakespeare)
- English teacher at WGHS since 1996, currently teaching AP Sr. Lit and Freshman English
- Union Carpenter 1977-1994
- BA in American Studies, SJSU; Master’s Degree in Educational Administration SJSU
- Studied acting w/Eric Morris (formerly of The Actor’s Studio in NY) in San Francisco, LA, and NYC
