Paul Zawilski has had a long career as pianist, singer, conductor, and music teacher. Active in music and theatre during his youth, he earned his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees at San Francisco State University, specializing in piano performance, music education, and conducting. In the four decades since, he has taught music in many public schools in the Bay Area, and has served many church congregations as choir director and organist. An active performer and conductor, Paul has worked with San Francisco Opera, San Francisco Symphony, Oakland Opera, The Lamplighters Music Theatre, Lyric Theatre of San Jose, and many other companies. Paul enters is 34th year of teaching music in the public schools. His 33rd year was about nine years ago, at Yerba Buena High School in San Jose. In the interim, Paul was doing some substitute teaching, and served as piano accompanist for two high school choral programs in San Mateo.
